Powerful stuff. Tension expertly built up and then really hits the reader hard with the ending.
I actually sat there in stunned silence for a few moments after finishing it. Wonderfully written.
Of all the entries, I think this is the one that I most want to read more of. Any chance, SeasideMan?

I had a fairly detailed back-story when I wrote that, and I know what happens next. But, both the before and the after were just in my mind to make this portion believable. I prefer that what lead up to this incident and what follows it are left for the reader to fill in. So sorry, but there will be no more to this story...
